‘Community’ set visit: Ken Jeong takes you behind the scenes Posted: 21 Sep 2010 08:12 PM PDT If there's anything we've learned about the NBC sitcom Community, it's that the show often thinks outside of the box. (What other program would devote an entire episode to an apocalyptic paintball battle, shoot an upcoming Christmas special with old-school stop-motion animation, or announce a "Twittersode" for Thursday's season premiere?). On The Defenders, Bromance Matches Courtroom Appeal Posted: 21 Sep 2010 07:23 PM PDT The Defenders co-stars Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell both remember the first time they met. "I met him once. Ironically, he kissed my wife [Rebecca Romijn] in a commercial," O'Connell tells TVGuide.com. "It was a fantasy sequence where she was coming in to buy a car and I had a fantasy where we kiss," Belushi adds. "So when I first met him, I had a little bit of a bone to pick with him because my wife soon caught mono after that," O'Connell teases. Check out clips from The Defenders The exchange may seem like a bad first impression, but this ribbing is a perfect example of the pair's central on-screen friendship. "Our show really centers on this kind of 'bromance' between those two guys," executive producer Greg Walker says. "Very few shows explore...

Will Hellcats' Marti Hook Up with Her Professor? Posted: 21 Sep 2010 07:02 PM PDT So far Hellcats has featured a lot of cheerleading and not so much studying, but that will change this week when Gale Harold arrives as Marti's law professor, Julian. "He certainly gives her and the rest of the class the feeling that maybe he doesn't take her so seriously," Harold (Queer as Folk) tells TVGuide.com.

Creator Tom Donaghy: The Whole Truth Is Not Your Grandpa's Courtroom Drama Posted: 21 Sep 2010 06:30 PM PDT Despite appearances, ABC's The Whole Truth is not just another lawyer show, says executive producer Tom Donaghy. "It differs [in] its very form," he says. Whereas other courtroom dramas have focused on either the prosecution or the defense, "our show offers both perspectives. To my knowledge, that hasn't been done before."

Meet J.J. Abrams' Newest Leading Lady: Undercovers' Gugu Mbatha Raw Posted: 21 Sep 2010 06:00 PM PDT From Jennifer Garner in Alias to Evangeline Lilly on Lost, executive producer J.J. Abrams knows how to empower his leading ladies. His next heroine? Gugu Mbatha-Raw, the star of NBC's new spy series Undercovers. "J.J. has written such a wonderful part, and he's known for writing great parts for women," Raw says. There's also Keri Russell, who played the sensitive college girl in Felicity, and Anna Torv, who will command not one, but two roles this season on Fringe.
