Sandra Bullock in solidarity donations to help Japan

Hollywood has done a lot of disaster movies, but the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan are not fiction and the entertainment industry has responded to the terrible situation with generosity.
Bullock became the latest to join the cause when the American Red Cross said on Thursday it had given $ 1 million to help disaster victims in Japan.

Several more famous and Hollywood studios have also pledged aid to the country.

Charlie Sheen, the bad boy of Hollywood, will donate one dollar for each entry in their live shows coming to the Red Cross.

Pop star Lady Gaga designed a bracelet to help Japan and in 48 hours raised $ 250,000, and sales are ongoing.

Singer Katy Perry is donating the sales of stickers on his concert tour to Japan Red Cross.

This week, Walt Disney donated $ 2.5 million to the American Red Cross relief efforts in Japan, and also said it would match employee donations up to a total of $ 1 million.

The Warner Bros studio has pledged sales and Blu-ray DVD of his film "Beyond Life" to the efforts of the Red Cross in Japan.

American Red Cross, which this week announced an initial contribution of $ 10 million to the Japan Society of the Red Cross, said he was "extremely grateful

STS 2011 Oscar Best Dressed - Sandra Bullock

In what has got to be one of the looks of the night, last year's Best Actress winner Sandra Bullock left the metallic sparkle she wore when picking up her award for the Blind Side at home and looked gorgeous again in classic red.

Last year she wore Marchesa but this year it was Vera Wang, in her stunning strapless gown which featured a beautiful bow at the back.

Topping the perfect look were Harry Winston jewels, and a sleek red clutch - seen better at the Vanity Fair Party.

If Allen Schwartz is making any of his Oscar look-alikes again this year, this is bound to be one of them.
