Egads! We’re getting our first peek at Russell Brand and Alec Baldwin on the set of Rock of Ages, Adam Shankman’s silver screen adaptation of the Tony-nominated Broadway musical.
The movie musical stars Tom Cruise, former Dancing With The Stars mirrorball winner Julianne Hough, Oscar winner Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Mary J. Blige. Alex Baldwin plays washed-up rocker and nightclub owner Dennis Dupree. Russell Brand comes aboard as his assistant.
On Tuesday, Shankman Tweeted this photo of an almost unrecognizable Baldwin, who was nearly forced out of the movie due to an unidentified illness, wearing a shoulder-length blond. In the photo, which also features a longer-haired Russell Brand, Alec is sporting aviator shades, a patterned jean jacket and a number of bracelets. What a break from the sharp suits the Emmy winner routinely dons as Jack Donaghy on NBC’s 30 Rock.
